Inspired by the legend of Aphrodite’s birth—who was born from the ocean and arrived to shore in a giant shell. The flying fish and oarfish represent the legend of Aphrodite and her son Eros, who once turned into fish to escape the monster Typhoeus. Surrounding her are ocean themed animals and objects inspired by ancient tile mosaics.
